The Monkey is Now Closed
I am sorry to say that as of January 15, 2008 Flying Monkey Records is closed. I am leaving the site up for a while to let people know and to help as a part of my portfolio. All orders have been shipped and all that.
If you are a band that we carried
If we carried your stuff, I sent you an email in December letting you know that we were closing. If I have not had instructions to do differently, on January 31, I will be donating all remaining CDs to the Lincoln Library, the public library in Springfield, Illinois.
All bands will be paid outstanding payments by the end of March 2008. Please contact me if you have any questions.

I will still be running 410Media. It makes a bit here and there from advertising, so it pays its own way and takes much less time to keep together than Flying Monkey. Ironically, I will have more time to dedicate to my Flying Monkey Radio show which will still be dedicated to independent and small label bands. We do have free classifieds on 410Media if you are interested in using it to directly sell your CDs and records.
So there you go. I have had a ton of support and met a lot of great people through Flying Monkey Records, so I want to thank you all.
